The buildings are alive!

October 6, 2010

This Saturday, the 9th of October, The National Gallery of Scotland is turning itself into a canvas for Nissan’s 3D light-show!

The project was launched recently in London and has also visited Liverpool and Leeds – Edinburgh will it’s final venue.

It’s a one-off stunt and if you’re interested in going along to see it, just head to the Mound precinct on Saturday night anytime between 7pm and 11pm (it’s played a continual loop).

To find out what to expect, take a look at theses clips from Leeds and Liverpool – very cool!

Proud to sponsor the Fringe!

It’s Festival time!

And at The Scottish Cafe & Restaurant we are proud to be sponsoring the 2010 Edinburgh Fringe!

As many of you may have seen, the front cover of the Fringe brochure this year, (along with bags, t-shirts and other lovely collectibles), features the work of talented illustrator, Johanna Basford. We love her work so much, that we are showcasing two of her limited edition prints in the reception at Centotre and also in Zanzero.

The prints, which can be bought at the Fringe Shop on the High Street, have been beautifully framed by our good friend, Carol Coulter. They are for sale for £50 (unframed) but should you wish to have them framed, then Carol would be delighted to help.

Why not drop by for a coffee, glass of wine or a bite to eat and enjoy some lovely artwork at the same time.
